Shambhu Dayal College (SD College), Ghaziabad, marked the 77th Republic Day of India today with a vibrant ceremony filled with pride and patriotism.
The campus was decorated with the tricolor, reflecting the spirit of unity and democracy that defines the nation.The event commenced with the ceremonial flag hoisting by the Principal, Prof. Rochna Mittal, followed by the singing of the National Anthem, which resonated across the campus grounds.
Highlights of the Celebration:
Principal’s Address: In an inspiring address, Prof. Rochna Mittal highlighted the significance of the Constitution and urged students to uphold the values of democracy, justice, and liberty in their daily lives.
Cultural Program: Students showcased their talent through a series of patriotic songs and speeches, paying tribute to the freedom fighters who laid down their lives for the country.
NCC/NSS Parade: Cadets from the NCC and NSS wings displayed discipline and coordination in a spirited march-past, saluting the national flag.The faculty, staff, and students gathered in large numbers to witness the celebration.
The event concluded with a vote of thanks and the distribution of sweets, spreading joy and camaraderie among all attendees.
